Did you know that A'Lelia was Madam C.J. Walker's daughter. A'Lelia was the owner of the Dark Tower. There is no way that you can write about the Harlem Renaissance without takling about the notable Dark Tower. All types of people grace this place. The who's who tried out their life work before its audience. Damon "Win" Codwin and his friend Dr. Fisher always graced this place to hear W.E.B. DuBois and others. Not only was Win a well know NAACP laywer, but he rubbed elbows with the elite of the Harlem Renassiance. He was close friends with A'Lelia.
